Welcome!

Welcome to my world of cnc routers.  I have been involved with cnc routers for about 2 years now.  In the past 4 months, I have decided to take my interest in cnc to a whole new level.  My goal is to help everyone who wants to get into cnc by providing affordable router plans router kits and a full series of tutorials and videos that cover every aspect of building and running a cnc router.  If you are interested in owning a cnc router, but are a bit overwhelmed by all of the knowledge required to set up your own machine, then you have come to the right place.

Recently, I have designed a cnc router that is affordable and will eventually be suited to all skill levels.  Right now I can only offer plans for the design, but rest assured, the design is user-friendly and can be built using basic woodworking tools that many people already have in there garage.  Right now, I would consider this router to be suitable for someone with at least moderate woodworking skills because he or she would have to take my plans as a guide to cut the framework out of either MDF or OSB sheet material, buy all of the parts listed in my bill of materials, and then assemble the router.  Once I am able to supply this router as a kit, the skill level will be reduced because all of the frame parts will be manufactured by me and the other parts will be ordered by me and all of this will be put into a kit along with an electronics package as well.

I have a basic plan of progression that I will go through to shrink the learning curve for the cnc router owner.  I will have tutorials and videos for things like: installing and using cnc software, designing a project,  converting the design to usable g-code, and then cutting out the parts for the project.  I will cover other things like making changes to a router design to suit your needs specifically.

I will also cover picking electronics, wiring cnc components, and basically everything one needs to know to outfit his or her router with a suitable set of electronics.  In a nutshell, I plan to do a tutorial on everything someone needs to know to build, setup and operate a personal cnc router that suit the specific needs of an individual.  No matter how basic the task is, I will have a tutorial for it.  All videos and tutorials will be accurately labeled and well organized so that everyone can look at the ones they need and skip the ones that they don't.

So, in order for me to be able to achieve all of the goals above, I will need for enough people to order plans from me so that I can generate enough funds to offer my router design and other future router designs as kits.  In the meantime, I will be working on tutorials and videos for computer software setup, and CAD/CAM packages.  I will begin these tutorials using open source software, so everyone can give computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing a try without spending a dime!
